WHO WE ARE

Northern Uganda Women’s Association for Human Rights (NUWAHR) is a grassroots, women-led, rights-based organization founded in 2016 to advance social justice and community transformation. Established in response to the lasting impacts of the 20-year LRA conflict, NUWAHR works to address trauma, poverty, inequality, and social disruption. Today, it promotes hope and resilience by restoring dignity, rebuilding lives, and creating opportunities for vulnerable communities. Operating across seven districts and engaging at national and regional levels, NUWAHR has impacted over 5,000 individuals through holistic, community-driven programs.
